Zhetybai is a gas - condensate - oil field in Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, on the Mangyshlak half island. It refers to the South Mangystau oil and gas field.

It was opened in 1961. The pioneer well was well No 6. The development started in 1969. Reservoir is at a depth of 1.7 - 2.4 km. The initial production rate of wells was 2 - 130 tons / day. The density is 0.85 - 0.86 g / cm ³. The Zhetybay oil is light and medium by density - 830-870 kg/m3, resinous 4, 53-15, 5% high paraffin content 17, 2-25%, low-sulfur 0, 2-0, 28%. Asphaltene content ranges from 0.9 to 3.4%. The geological oil reserves are 330 million tons, the residual oil reserves are 68 million tons.

At present the field is being developed by a Kazakh oil company JSC "MangistauMunaiGas" and its PP Zhetybaymunaygaz. Oil production in 2010 totaled 1.12 million tons.

PP Zhetybaymunaygaz divided into workshops that develop the deposit where there are mining plants (OGPP), a water drainage plant (WDP), research department (RD), a shop which processes crude oil into marketable (COPF) and others.
