Fort-Shevchenko, 1 July 2015: On the occasion of Children's Day North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC), the North Caspian Project Operator, organised a celebration for 150 young residents of Tupkaragan district with gifts, contests and prizes as part of the Sponsorship and Donation (S&D) Program of the Consortium.


 During opening of the celebration event in Fort-Shevchenko Azat Nurzhauov, NCOC Community Relations Advisor, said: "Almost all countries celebrate International Children's Day on the 1st of June. This is the most joyful holiday for children, and also a reminder to us that children need our constant care and protection. Today, in anticipation of International Children's Day, we are holding this cheerful event for our young generation. I would like to mention that every year NCOC conducts a variety of events aimed at improving the lives of children. We all know that children associate a holiday with gifts. I hope they will enjoy everything today and that this day will leave a bright and joyous feeling of warmth, love and care in children's memory".

With the support from the Consortium a show for 150 children with fun quizzes and interactive games presented by entertainers, as well as contests and prizes was organized on the Central Square of Fort-Shevchenko on this day.

Along with children and their parents the events were attended by representatives of Tupkaragan District Akimat and NCOC.

According to A.Nurzhauov, the Company will continue pursuing corporate social responsibility and social partnership, so that every new social project under S&D program of the Consortium will bring joy to people.

The Sponsorship and Donation program of the Consortium is aimed at ensuring economic stability and welfare, supporting healthcare, education, culture and heritage, sports, and rendering assistance to the needy people. It should be noted that every year the Consortium conducts various campaigns aimed at improving the lives of children. For the last 16 years, the Consortium provided sponsorship assistance for implementation of 159 S&D projects in Mangistau and Atyrau oblasts for over $500 millions.

North Caspian Operating Company acts on behalf of the Consortium of seven companies:  KazMunayGas, Eni, Shell, ExxonMobil, Total, CNPC and INPEX as appointed Operator to carry out exploration and production of hydrocarbons on 11 blocks under the Production Sharing Agreement in respect of the North Caspian Sea dated 18 November 1997, as amended and supplemented. The NCSPSA Contract Area of 5,600 square kilometers includes the giant Kashagan oilfield located 80 km south-east of Atyrau. It also comprises Kalamkas, Kashagan South West, Aktote and Kairan fields.

The development of Kashagan, in the harsh offshore environment of the North Caspian Sea, represents a unique combination of technical and logistics complexity. The combined safety, engineering, logistical and environmental challenges make it one of the largest and most complex industrial projects in the world.
