Mangystau region produces 13.4 mln tons of oil

Today in the Governor's office of the Mangystau region there has been held a briefing on the priorities of regional development in the light of the instructions given by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the enlarged session of the Government on October 11.

During the briefing it was noted that for one year and a half in the region there has been the lowest rate of industrial output due to declining oil production. From the 2nd quarter of this year there has been a positive growth in the volumes of hydrocarbons, respectively, one can see increase in the volume of industrial production, said the Acting Head of the Department of Economy and Budget Planning of Mangystau region Zhanagul Ulanova.

"During the reporting period the industrial output has amounted to more than KZT 1.7 trillion, the volume index was 101.7 %. 13.4 million tons of oil have been produced, or 101.8 % compared to last year. Output in the manufacturing sector has ncreased by 20.7 %", said G. Ulanova.
